Every team member has a personal development plan, agreed during regular appraisals and based not only on the company's needs but also their own aspirations. There's a wide-ranging programme to help you reach your goals, providing a powerful mixture of training and support. Elements include: Knowledge sharing / mentoringWe encourage people with specialist knowledge to share it with colleagues. In fact learning from each other is one of the real attractions of working with Hydrock and its interesting mix of specialists. Training coursesTraining needs are generally identified at appraisals, although you're free to make requests at any time. We fund a wide variety of courses from many different companies and institutions. Further educationHydrock supports staff in furthering their education where it's relevant to their jobs. This support will typically include time off for lectures or exams and payment of all course fees. Annual appraisalAnnual appraisals will be carried out with your Direct Manager and Hydrock's Managing Director each spring. As well as formulating a personal development plan, the session provides an opportunity for people to discuss a wide range of issues in the company. This provides valuable feedback for the Board in planning and running the business. Interim appraisalThis is a less formal session held with your direct manager, providing an opportunity to fine tune your development plan. ICE-approved training schemeHydrock operates an ICE-approved training scheme for civil engineers. |
